Free Online Speaker Cleaner & Water Ejector
When you drop your phone in the sink or get caught in the rain, water fills the tiny protective grilles of your smartphone's speakers. Because of the surface tension of water, simply shaking the phone is rarely enough to dislodge the liquid, resulting in muffled, distorted, or low-volume audio. This free browser-based speaker cleaner is designed to help clear those blockages instantly.
Quick 3-Step Cleaning Guide
- Maximize Volume: Turn your device's media volume up to 100% to ensure maximum mechanical force.
- Position Face Down: Hold or place your device so the affected speaker is facing downwards. Gravity helps pull the liquid out.
- Run the Tool: Select "Water Eject" mode and click Start. Do not hold the device near your ears!
The Science Behind Water Ejection
This software works by playing highly specific, continuous sound frequencies—most notably a pulsing 165Hz sine wave. In physics, sound is simply the vibration of air. By forcing the internal speaker membrane to vibrate at its maximum mechanical excursion (amplitude) at a low frequency, the speaker essentially acts as a tiny air pump. This powerful outward airflow breaks the water's surface tension and physically pushes the droplets out of the grille.
Dust Removal Mode: For dry debris and dust, a smooth sine wave is less effective. Instead, our "Dust Clear" mode uses an agitated, high-frequency "Sawtooth" wave that rapidly sweeps up and down. This creates jagged, sharp vibrations that help shake microscopic dust particles loose from the mesh.
Device Compatibility (Apple, Android, Laptops)
Because this tool runs directly in your browser, it is an excellent universal alternative to device-specific apps or shortcuts.
- iPhone & Apple Watch: While modern Apple Watches have a built-in water lock, iPhones do not have a native water eject button. Our web tool acts as a perfect alternative to downloading third-party iOS shortcuts.
- Android (Samsung, Pixel, Xiaomi): If your Android device is submerged and sounds muffled, this tool can help expel water from the bottom-firing and earpiece speakers.
- MacBooks & Windows Laptops: Spilled coffee or water on your laptop keyboard? Power it off immediately and dry it first. After the device is dry and powers on normally, this tool may help clear moisture or debris near speaker openings. (If liquid entered your device, also consider testing your microphone input with our Microphone Test once the device is dry to check for damage.)
